| Graphic design laminate Deckswirl 3 picked
out and ready for application to deck of surfboard. |
|
 |
| Logos and Graphics being applied to
board. The design will lay directly to foam surface. Laminate should be
cut close to printed area, but leaving enough so tips are not too
narrow. Be careful of sweat and oil in hands. |
|
 |
| Some laminators find it helpful to tack
large laminates in place with some uncured or cured resin just
before laying cloth on board. Another trick is to spray a real lite
mist of type 45 or 77 spray adhesive on area that decal will be
placed. To much spray and you will clog decal paper. Try to use
gloves and paper to position and handle. This is good for getting
wrinkles out. |

 |
| Since resin can be worked through the
laminate there is no need to roll cloth back like a silk screened
laminate. This keeps it flatter and gives more UV protection and not
to mention time. |
|
 |
| Care should be taken to make sure any air is
worked out |
